The Elusive

Christmas is coming - the goose is getting fat -- says so right here:

That also means that Boywonder's birthday is just around the bend! I know all of this mentally, but I just don't feel it yet! I'm ready, willing - but apparently not able. Yet. Anyone else in the same boat? Let's try and get there together, shall we?

The Saints are feeling it -- one of them is donning a Santa hat .... this made me laugh outloud.

Feeling it, yet?

Holiday music, especially live, usually gets me right in the spirit... you?

And then there is that intoxicating, earthy fragrance of evergreens -- I need to get out and get my cedar garlands - simple garlands, faerie lights casting their warm gilded and soft light - maybe some antique sleigh bells ... and candles - lots and lots of candles ... and some antique german glass glitter ... in burnished gold... Okay I'm starting to feel it.

If you're not feeling it yet, maybe some traditional Christmas dancing of Olde?

But in all seriousness - one of the things I love most is to drive around at night this time of year and look at the lights - especially on the water. The sweet, simple lights -- it most definitely puts me right into the spirit of the holidays.

This is my kind of Christmas lighting - serene, ethereal ... magical. (and in France!) Not too much glitz and glitter, but just the right amount of sparkle. Perfection, really.

Now... to go find those lights of MINE and get them up. Museville needs some Holiday magic of its own! Mmmm hmmm.

hmph...at least some people are feeling the Christmas Spirit. Election's up on Friday coming and there has been nothing but politics in the air. No Christmas anything in the atmosphere. Hopefully...I'll be able to actually feel the Christmas Spirit next week.

Christmas is such a wonderful time...it Would be a shame not to make the best of it.

Well, Cheers. Happy Decorating and Have a very Merry Christmas

Lovely pics! You know it is Christmas here when it's -30C and your car won't start. :) Wish I could swap locations with you this year. How are you!??!

P.S. Your music always crashed my computer but I noticed you removed it - now I can make comments! Isn't that crazy - anyone who has music on their blog crashes my iMac - I get some weird error message and it kicks me off Safari. Miss your songs but nice to be able to leave you a note now!

Hi Isa
You know I've done nothing yet and really don't feel it at all [though your post is helping]

I think you may be right.. I need lights and 'smell' to get in the mood..cinammon sticks and a real tree might help...

Have fun xx Julie

Yes, I love the Christmas lights! I've always loved the tiny white lights. So simple, so elegant. I love them on the tree and the mantle. Intertwined with pine garlands to grace the china cabinets and bookcases. I do love the lights!

Merry Christmas!
