Sail on...

I love this hauntingly beautiful vignette --
for me, it captures the fading of summer
perfectly -

The dreamy cloudy mirror, the whimsical wire of the ship reminds me of beautiful skeletal leaves that will be prevalent soon enough, the faded sails that still look full of salty wind -- an empty nest perfectly placed and looking cool and casual... so in line with the feelings of the last lazy days of summer.

I truly love this photo. I wish I could remember where I found it...

Happy weekend!
xo Isa

Almost reminds me of a goulish/halloween feeling - I expected to see an image of an old wrinkly lady in the mirror...well written, I enjoyed this!

Isa, Thank you for visiting my blog and your comment. I am a frequent visitor to your site. Your images are always so enchanting. I learned about Gardenology from you. Love that store. They just opened a new one in Newport Beach on 17th street. Your neighbor on the coast. Sue Murphy

Gorgeous...almost ghostly...like a sailing ghost ship.

Don't ask. Had 8 15 year old girls over last night... playing with a oiugi board. Roll's eyes.

The mantel image is lovely.
It makes me think of the Ghost
and Mrs Muir for some reason. Ever see that movie with Rex and Tierney?
