Enchanted....

We have been focused on the nuts and bolts of things in Museville and Greyfreth for the past several months and while the foundation work isn't very exciting and certainly not blog-worthy, and I apologize for being so absent ... but the results of what we have been consumed with will be worth the wait. I will have much to show you (say it with me now...) SOON.

As the world spins faster and faster and I continue to try and find time for myself, I have turned to the outdoors for solace. The state of the yard is sad and neglected due to our focus being on the floors, the electric and plumbing, and other things not fun but important... but it won't take much to get it back on track.

We did manage to find time to string rice lights in the pepper tree -- its trunk now beautifully enshrouded in a climbing rambler rose - lanterns hang from the lower boughs above the outdoor dining table and there is a spot in the limbs waiting for one of Mark Sage's chandeliers... it may be waiting for quite a while. Trenches are dug for the wiring to the tree - and the dogs are loving that and get into the digging, themselves. Dimmers stand at the ready to make the illuminated tree the source of the backyard enchantment.

Since it is a work in progress, I thought I'd share some enchantment that is much more worthy at the moment -- Enjoy these gorgeous, whimsical and hauntingly beautiful photos by the oh-so-talented Tim Walker.
