Winter Returns...

Long, chilly grey veils of ethereal clouds began slowly, at first, floating in from the sea, gathering momentum, they closed like curtains in front of the benevolent February sun which seconds before hung low and bright in the vast sky of blue -- The perfect summer-like weather didn't see it coming and was yanked from existence in a matter of mere minutes. In its stead, winter drizzled steadily from the sky in a misty rain - all sun worshippers, dog walkers, runners, painters, and gardeners made haste towards cover.

It now feels much later than it is, and I wish I had a fireplace... instead, Poor Tired Husband braves the weather and goes to rent a movie and pick up some Chinese food. Dinner and movie -
It's days like this that I wish the interior of my new home were further along -- because I'd really rather be taking a long nice soak in this bathtub...

via living etc

and then lighting a fire in this bedroom, crawling into bed and reading a good book while the rain patters outside -- sounds like the perfect plan. I better get busy on my interior.

via living etc

It's supposed to rain through the weekend. Since that exiles me from exterior painting (oh, darn! /sarcasm) I should be able to get quite a bit done inside. Stay tuned...

Well I would say, come over here, I have a fire going - BUT! I don't because that f-tard that built this house didn't build a functioning fireplace, AND, winter made a pitstop here 5 months ago, and hasn't left yet! :) Knobs are leaving today! WHOO HOO!

Good Morning Dear Isa,

I'm afraid winter won't loosen it's grip on us here, it's cold and gloomy and in the teens or low 20's. The delievery man was just here again to fill the fuel tank, that doesn't make DH happy. We are waiting for warmer weather so we can finish our outside painting. I sure hope we have a nice long Spring this year.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs
